The Managing Director of Qwin on turning a single social media offering into a full business transformation consultancy across Lebanon and the Arab region
Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian built Qwin Consultancy by turning a single social media service into a business transformation consultancy serving clients across Lebanon and the Arab region. Her journey reflects resilience, innovation, and a commitment to sustainable growth.
Learning the Business Before Building One
Kachkorian’s path into consulting started early, through a series of jobs she held while still at university, work that taught her discipline, time management, and how to juggle competing responsibilities long before she had a title to match the effort. After graduating, she moved into a Sales Coordinator role, where she quickly began taking on more than the position called for.
Over time, her responsibilities expanded across sales and project coordination, with a growing focus on client experience. One shift she is especially proud of was moving her team from reactive to proactive service, monitoring accounts, following up consistently, and catching potential issues before clients ever had to raise them.
“Good service is not simply reacting to problems,” she says. “It is anticipating them.” That principle would go on to shape everything she built next.
Why Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian Started Qwin Consultancy
The decision to launch Qwin came from a simple but pointed realization: Kachkorian could keep doing the same work indefinitely, or she could challenge herself to build something of her own.
“Instead of waiting for the next position or opportunity to come to me,” she says, “I would create one.”
Qwin started with just one service, social media management. From there, it grew based on what clients actually needed rather than a fixed roadmap, expanding into consulting, sales and growth strategy, process automation, website development, and eventually Odoo ERP solutions.
“That evolution is important to me,” she explains, “because Qwin was not built overnight. It developed by listening to the market, understanding client needs, and continuously expanding our capabilities.”
A Business-First Approach to Technology
Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian believes that successful digital transformation begins with understanding how a business operates before introducing new technology.
Qwin Consultancy today works across business consulting, sales and growth strategy, process automation, digital solutions, and Odoo ERP implementation, but Kachkorian is clear that technology is never the starting point.
“We start with the business itself: its processes, its challenges, its people, and its objectives,” she says. “Then we identify where technology and better systems can create real value.”
The goal, she adds, is practical impact: reducing inefficiencies, improving visibility, automating repetitive processes, and building a stronger operational foundation for growth, rather than layering software onto problems that haven’t been properly understood.
Milestones Measured in Trust, Not Just Growth
Ask Kachkorian about her proudest achievement, and she does not lead with revenue. She points to the relationships Qwin has built with well established professionals and businesses across Lebanon and the Arab region.
For Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian, the greatest milestone has always been earning the trust of clients rather than simply measuring success through revenue or expansion.
“These relationships represent more than simply having recognizable names associated with my work,” she says. “They reflect the trust that people have placed in me and in the work we deliver.”
Just as significant, in her view, has been Qwin’s own evolution, from a single social media offering to a broader consultancy. It proved to her that a business can grow substantially when it stays close to its clients and remains genuinely willing to learn.
Building a Real Business in a Difficult Environment
Running a company in Lebanon has shaped Kachkorian’s leadership in ways she does not take lightly. The environment is unpredictable, and staying focused despite circumstances outside her control has become a defining skill.
One challenge she speaks about directly is the temptation to chase appearances, particularly in an industry where social media metrics can be artificially inflated through fake followers or engagement. Kachkorian has consistently chosen a slower, more genuine path instead.
“I have always preferred to focus on building genuine relationships, real clients, and sustainable growth,” she says. “You cannot control the environment, but you can control how you respond to it.”
The Principles Behind Her Leadership
Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian’s leadership philosophy is built on ownership, consistency, honesty, and continuous improvement. Kachkorian’s leadership is built around ownership, consistency, honesty, and continuous improvement, values that trace back directly to her early years in sales and project coordination.
“If you take responsibility for something, you should not wait for someone else to tell you that there is a problem,” she says. “You should identify it, understand it, and try to solve it.”
She is equally deliberate about how she defines success. “I would rather build something slowly with genuine results,” she says, “than create the appearance of success without a strong foundation behind it.”
Her Advice to Aspiring Professionals
Kachkorian’s advice to the next generation of business leaders is rooted in her own experience of starting from very little.
“Don’t be afraid to create your own opportunity,” she says. “You don’t need to wait until you have the perfect position, the perfect resources, or the perfect circumstances. Start with what you have, learn from every experience, and build from there.”
She is direct about how she believes young professionals should measure themselves. “Don’t measure your success only by titles, followers, or appearances,” she says. “Focus on your skills, your reputation, your relationships, and the real value you create. Real growth takes time, and consistency is often more powerful than trying to look successful overnight.”
Where Qwin Is Headed
Kachkorian’s vision for Qwin over the next five years extends well beyond Lebanon. The company is actively targeting expansion into Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Libya, and Cyprus, alongside continued growth in its existing markets.
A major part of that expansion involves strengthening Qwin’s consulting and ERP capabilities, particularly through Odoo, and building strategic partnerships that allow the firm to reach more businesses across different regions.
“My vision is for Qwin to become a recognized regional business transformation partner,” she says, “not simply a company that provides individual services, but a partner that businesses can rely on as they grow and transform.”
Life Beyond the Business
Beyond her professional achievements, Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian values creating meaningful experiences and maintaining a healthy balance between entrepreneurship and personal life. For Kachkorian, entrepreneurship was never meant to mean putting life on hold. She is candid about the importance of balance, making time to enjoy life and create memories alongside the discipline that building a business demands.
Her personal platforms reflect that side of her story, moments, experiences, and reflections that sit alongside the more business focused content on her professional channels, which center on Qwin, transformation, and entrepreneurship.
The Leaders Column Perspective
Alexandra Iskandar Kachkorian stands out for her refusal to shortcut credibility. In an industry where growth is often measured by follower counts and polished appearances, she has built Qwin around real relationships, measurable results, and long-term value.
Her path from a single service to a multi-market consultancy is still unfolding, but the discipline behind it, proactive service, ownership of problems before they escalate, and a clear-eyed view of what actually creates value, suggests a founder building something meant to last well beyond any single market or trend.
