The Founder and CEO of Biznify Technologies on turning years of e-commerce lessons into the software he wished he’d had
Yanis Fekraoui did not start out building software. He started out selling things online, scaling e-commerce businesses that eventually generated several million euros in revenue. It was, in his words, a real-world business school, one that taught him customer acquisition, paid advertising, sales funnels, operations, and the uncomfortable truth that most businesses lose money not because they lack leads, but because nobody follows up on them fast enough.
That lesson became the foundation for Biznify Technologies, the AI business automation platform Fekraoui now leads as founder and CEO, built specifically to solve the problem he watched cost businesses money for years.
An Entrepreneur’s Education, the Hard Way
Yanis’s entrepreneurial path began entirely in e-commerce, where he spent years building, launching, and scaling online businesses. The revenue numbers were real, but so were the setbacks.
“Entrepreneurship comes with wins, but also setbacks, uncertainty, pressure, failed ideas, and periods where you need to rebuild,” he says. “Those experiences shaped the way I think about business today.”
Over time, his attention shifted toward software, artificial intelligence, and automation, as he began noticing that the systems powering digital businesses could solve major problems for traditional companies too.
“That realization led me to create Biznify Technologies,” he says, “with the goal of building technology that helps businesses operate more efficiently, manage their opportunities better, automate repetitive work, and ultimately generate more revenue.”
Why He Built an AI Business Automation Platform Instead of Another CRM
The idea for Biznify came directly from what Fekraoui saw firsthand running digital businesses. A company could generate strong leads and still lose most of them simply because no one followed up quickly enough. It could spend thousands on marketing and watch much of that investment disappear without a proper sales process behind it.
At the same time, he noticed that many small and medium sized businesses were still managing operations across scattered tools, spreadsheets, messages, and manual processes. “The technology existed,” he says, “but it was often fragmented or too complicated.”
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, Fekraoui saw an opening to build something more capable than traditional software. Rather than simply storing information, the software itself could qualify leads, communicate with prospects, schedule appointments, automate follow-ups, and support real decision-making.
“My role as CEO is therefore not simply about running a software company,” he says. “It is about translating real business problems into practical technology that entrepreneurs and companies can actually use.”
What Biznify Actually Does
Biznify Technologies centers its AI business automation platform around helping businesses consolidate and automate their sales and customer management processes. The platform brings together CRM, lead management, automated follow-up, appointment scheduling, customer communication, reporting, workflows, and AI-powered qualification into one system.
“The objective is simple,” Yanis says. “Help businesses lose fewer opportunities and operate more efficiently.”
What sets Biznify apart, in his view, is its origin. The platform was built from an entrepreneur’s perspective rather than a purely technical one.
“I have personally experienced the challenges of generating leads, converting customers, managing marketing campaigns, building sales processes, and scaling operations,” he says. “Because of that, I am very focused on building features that have a tangible impact on revenue or productivity.”
Biznify is especially focused on service based businesses, where speed of response has a direct effect on revenue. “A prospect requesting information today does not necessarily want to wait until tomorrow for an answer,” Fekraoui says. “With automation and AI, businesses can provide much faster responses while allowing their teams to focus on the conversations and decisions where human expertise matters most.”
His long-term vision goes beyond a CRM entirely. Biznify, he hopes, will become an intelligent operating system for customer acquisition, sales, and business growth.
Milestones That Shaped the Founder Before the Company
Yanis counts scaling his e-commerce businesses to several million euros in revenue among his most significant achievements, not for the number itself, but for what it exposed.
“When you scale a business, every weakness becomes more visible,” he says. “Marketing, logistics, cash flow, customer service, conversion rates, hiring, and processes all have to evolve. That experience gave me a much deeper understanding of how businesses actually grow.”
Founding Biznify represents a different kind of milestone entirely. “Starting a SaaS company is very different from running an e-commerce business,” he says. “You are not simply selling a product, you are building an infrastructure that other businesses may rely on every day.” For Fekraoui, that shift from e-commerce entrepreneur to technology founder marks an important evolution, taking everything he learned acquiring customers and building businesses and turning it into software other entrepreneurs can use to grow their own.
What Setbacks Taught Him About Leadership
Yanis is direct about the lesson entrepreneurship has repeated to him more than any other: success is rarely linear.
“There can be periods when everything seems to work, followed by periods where you have to question your strategy, change direction, or rebuild,” he says. “Those moments teach you much more about leadership than the easy periods.”
He has learned not to grow too attached to any single strategy, since markets, platforms, and customer behavior all shift constantly. He is equally direct about execution. “Most entrepreneurs do not fail because they have no access to information,” he says. “They often fail because they spend too much time analysing and not enough time implementing, measuring, and improving.”
Above all, he has learned to stay close to the customer. “Customers do not purchase technology simply because it is impressive,” he says. “They purchase outcomes. Does it save them time? Does it help them make money? Does it simplify their business? Does it solve an important problem? Those questions influence many of the decisions we make at Biznify.”
The Principles Behind His Leadership
Yanis’s approach is built on five commitments: responsibility, speed of execution, adaptability, customer value, and long-term thinking.
“Blaming the market, competitors, employees, or circumstances does not move the company forward,” he says of the first. On execution, he believes in making informed decisions and improving quickly rather than waiting for perfect conditions. On customer value, he is blunt: “A company survives because it solves problems for customers. That principle sounds simple, but it is easy to forget as an organisation grows.”
His long-term view shapes how he measures success. “I am ambitious,” he says, “but I am not interested only in short-term revenue. I want to build a company, a product, and a reputation that can compound over many years.”
His Advice to Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Yanis’s advice centers on a simple refusal to wait for certainty. “Stop waiting until you feel completely ready,” he says. “You will never have every answer before you start. You learn entrepreneurship by doing it.”
He is equally cautious about the opposite mistake, mistaking constant pivoting for progress. “Choose a direction, give yourself enough time to become good at it, measure your results, and improve,” he says.
He also encourages patience with failure. “One unsuccessful project does not make you a failure, just as one successful project does not make you invincible,” he says. “Take the lesson, keep your standards high, and continue moving forward. In business, consistency over several years is incredibly powerful.”
Where Biznify Is Headed
Yanis’s primary focus now is expanding Biznify and deepening the intelligence behind the platform. He believes business software is entering a new phase entirely.
“Historically, software waited for the user to perform an action,” he says. “The next generation of software will increasingly be able to perform actions on behalf of the user.”
That shift is central to where Biznify is headed next, with growing interest in AI agents capable of interacting with leads, answering questions, qualifying prospects, booking appointments, and supporting sales teams directly. Fekraoui is equally focused on keeping that power simple to use. “Powerful technology should not require a business owner to become a software engineer,” he says.
His broader ambition is to grow Biznify internationally, continue refining the platform based on real customer feedback, and build a technology company with a genuine long-term presence in the market. “We are still at the beginning of that journey,” he says, “which is what makes this stage so exciting.”
The Leaders Column Perspective
What makes Yanis Fekraoui’s path notable is the direction it runs. Most founders building an AI business automation platform come from a technical background looking for a market. Yanis came from the market first, years of running digital businesses and personally feeling every place software failed him, and built the platform second.
That ordering shows up throughout Biznify’s design, a persistent focus on outcomes over features, and a founder who seems more interested in whether something saves a business money than whether it looks impressive in a demo. Having already scaled one business from nothing to several million euros in revenue, Yanis appears to be applying the same instinct to Biznify itself: stay close to the customer, execute quickly, and let the results build the case.
